NOTE: Vote to suspend bylaws indefinitely:
Watch your email around August 15 for a message reading "VOTE NOW!" We are proposing to suspend the Ladies League bylaws indefinitely, so that we don't need to vote on the matter every year. We need at least 23 affirmative votes to put the matter to rest. Voting will be done by email.
Event Updates
One of our goals this year was to create some new events and excitement about Women’s Day and the many other formal and informal opportunities for women to enjoy golf.
“Calling all MCC Women Golfers”
NOTE: A second “Calling all MCC Women Golfers” will take place on Tuesday, August 30th. There will will an On Course Rules Clinic at 4:00 followed by appetizers, wine, and shopping at 5:00 PM. The trunk sale planned for August 31st will take place during this event.
Club Championship: New Format.
New for 2016. The Championship Flights will continue to play a Low Gross format, but the flights will now play a Net Stableford format. It is a great addition to the event. If we have enough players we will have a Heron flight and a Fox flight. Come out and play!

The Ringer: Four more weeks to improve your Ringer Score!
Look for the Ringer results in the women’s locker room. Dave and staff are updating this regularly.
The Ringer is a season-long game that celebrates each person's best golf performance. Imagine taking that net eagle you score on hole 16 one week and adding it to a net eagle you score on hole 4 the following week! In this game, your best net score on each hole during the ladies league season is added together for one awesome final score at the end of August! We will pay 4 prizes in the game: 1st, 2nd, 20th and 21st. You don't need to play every week to qualify. Just play... And know that all your best holes each season will count... At least all the ones you play on ladies day! Dates: June 1st - August 31st

Executive Course (July 27th)
This event was well received with a special appreciation to Diane Auler and Pam Pound for providing pudding shots and vodka lemonade at the comfort station.
2016 Women’s Day Schedule Update
A second goal this year is for league members to play with everyone during the course of the summer. The Golf Shop has been helping us achieve this goal.

The next guest day is September 7th. League members are encouraged to bring guests at anytime. The standard guest fee for 2016 is $102. However, on the 2 scheduled GUEST DAYS, that fee will be reduced to $67.
Invite New MCC Women Golfers to Play on Wednesday
Ladies who are not league members are welcome to play on Wednesdays, however there is a fee of $10 to participate in the game. This money goes to the MCC Women’s Day. Ladies who choose not to pay the fee are not eligible to collect a prize. Skins ($5 buy-in) are always optional for members and non-members. Skins money goes exclusively to winners.
Christa Conners has been contacting the Women’s Day committee when new members join the club and we have been reaching out to the new women members.
Financial Report
MCC Women’s Day Financial Report as of August 3, 2016 .
We have a current balance of $2,597.64. We collected $40 in guest fees in July and paid $424 in prizes. We are ahead of budget projection for the year.
Assuming no unanticipated budgeted expenses, it appears that we will have at least $1,200 in our account at the end of the season.

- Cart Ready announcements are being made each week and posted on the Women’s Day blog along with the results. Based on your feedback we are trying to start these announcement 15 minutes before we head out to the course.
- A link to Women’s Day Results is being included in the MCC Thursday email blast
- Email blast will go out minimally once each month.
- Link to minutes from committee meetings are found on the blog. Last meeting was June 28th, link to minutes.

Opportunities to serve
- Women’s Invitational. Looking for volunteers to plan the 2017 event
Janno Tanner and Patti Balesteri did a fantastic job this year. We are looking for 2 or more people to volunteer to plan the 2017 event. Janno and Patti have created a planning document based on the work they did this past year.
- 2017 Women’s Day Golf Committee. Looking for 2 new volunteers to replace Beth and Pam. contact any committee member with your interest.
